Habits are simply a behaviour your mind has learned to do in order to cope with something or to satisfy a need you have, e.g. biting nails can be to relieve boredom or to calm a worry.
Hypnotic processes can be used to change this behaviour in that part of your mind that you’re not aware of, your subconscious. The same place in your mind that makes your heart beat or take a breath. This allows that part of you to automatically do a new behaviour that is more in-line with what your conscious mind wants but still lets you cope of have that need satisfied.
It’s really surprisingly simple to patch your mind in this way and be rid of that habit.
